Request for new subjects to discuss

If you would like my very uneducated and highly opinionated view on nearly any topic, please feel free to post that subject here.

I will not guarantee a response or a posting, but... I will do my best.

(p.s. check out my articles at Helium if you want to see what topics I would prefer to write on)

My suggestion for a new topic: Your thoughts on the latest trend of becoming "carbon neutral."

Hmmm ...

Morge.... lol, I'll have to do one on that.... I'll see about doing it tomorrow night if I have time at work (which I should since it's a holiday).

Great idea Alan - as soon as I come up with one, I'll let you know!

I'd be interested in reading your rendering of 'double entendres'

~intrigued~

Ok... so we have:

carbon neutral
double entendre's

and... which part of Western Civ?

Comparison of the growth of the country, comparison of ethnic population relations, political systems, immigration patterns, hmmm, so, so many things to..

uh oh

I think my brain just exploded again!

The possibilities of starting over again and could we change things for the better?

Here's another blog that might generate some ideas. I get kind of wrapped up in education topics, so forgive me for always bringing it up, but here's the address:

http://www.stophomework.com/

PS: There is someone copying your idea in my blog. I apologize on his behalf.

lol... if someone thinks I have a good idea, let him run with it... doesn't bother me a bit.

I'll put that stophomework.com in my list, but....

Since I think kids don't get enough homework ;0

Mimicry is the highest form of flattery ... so I've been told.

HI Alan how are you?

Do you want controversy?

I saw this over at hotair.com today: Westminster Cathedral

"The premiere of a work by the leading composer Sir John Taverner in Westminster Cathedral next week has provoked discord because it glorifies the Muslim deity Allah.
Traditionalist Roman Catholics are planning to converge on the cathedral on Tuesday evening to protest over the work, which includes the singing of the 99 names of Allah."

We could talk about how this represents (to all of Christendom) the interjection of idolatry into otherwise Christian worship. And the implications of similar efforts to interject Islam into our religion and culture here in the U.S.

rebicmel; Do you really mean 'brakes'? (?breaks).
Could well be.

I have one question that has bugged me for some time; Why do we still have sanctions against Cuba, and buddy buddy, with China. They're both Communist countries? Is this hypocrisy, or what? Is there something I don,t know?

Thanks, Larry

btw all, I've been completely swamped the last two weeks (changed shifts, kids out of school, etc...). But I am hoping to be able to get this blog up-to-date in the next day or so.

I am trying to address the topics you have given me, and hopefully, will be able to get some of those out this week.

But...

The "double entendre" article will have to wait until I'm not quite so tired :)

Hmmm, how bout nanotechnology? Lol, sorry I can be a bit random at times.

fangers said...

How's about RFID? Close enough to nano-technology? (since I know so very little about nano-technology)

Hey there Alan. Long time since I have read some blogs just been busy. However you need to read mine cause you have been tagged thanks to something Keith started lol. Enjoy and hope your doing well in school.

You've been tagged.. see my blog for an explanation

Hi Alan :)

You have been TAGGED - pop along and check out my blog for details.

Cheers!

RFID would be a great topic.

Also, how 'bout the social value of standards even (particularly?) given human nature and the known reality that those standards will not always be lived-up to? Seems like the trend from the 1960s forward in the U.S. has been to reject standards as "hypocritical" if many people in the real world fail to meet them. Just a thought.

Hi I have a tribute of colors on my blog so please check it out

Hi Alan - Whattyadoing? :)

Just popped in to see your latest and beg for some help - how do you edit the date of your top post a year in advance to keep it at the top? Can't see anything obvious in my settings :)

Topic for you to ponder on? Mmmmm....how about using forum boards without over re-acting and why people get so involved in internet interaction that it bothers them so much? I have mine own views but would love to hear others - LOL

See ya!

Alan I would like to see something on the subject of "Plunder!" What a wicked word and meaning when understood, yet many don't know what it means or how it could effect them in their life and in the USA.
